New York, NY (April 4, 2005) – The 2nd Annual Zoom In Awards will be announced at this year’s NAB, to be held in Las Vegas beginning April 16. The Zoom In Awards recognizes exceptional talent in digital production in both student and professional categories for each of the following competition areas: digital editing; digital cinematography; graphics & FX.
Included also is a Lifetime Achievement Award, which in 2004 went to noted documentarian Albert Maysles for his half-century of work, including: Salesman, Gimme Shelter and Grey Gardens. Winners receive industry-wide notoriety for their name and work, as well as cash & merchandise prizes. Sponsors receive extensive publicity in both print and electronic channels. A gala awards event is held each year to announce winners, and provide entrants, sponsors and hundreds of industry notables an opportunity to network while celebrating in high style.
Early submission deadline is July 29, 2005. Final submission deadline is October 31, 2005. The submission fee is $19 for students (including recent graduates) and $39 for professionals. The submission form can be found at www.zoominawards.com.
The Awards campaign will run 12 months, reaching millions of industry professionals through advertisements, tradeshows, events, and editorial media coverage.
